In collaboration with Associate Professor John Williams, A&S Mathematics, the Faculty Center for Learning Development (FCLD) is beginning a faculty development program on the effective use of iPads in teaching and learning. The program, open to all instructors, is designed to provide a forum for sharing ideas and effective techniques for using iPads in the classroom.

These informal Friday afternoon gatherings, called iPad Circles, typically will include a brief (15-20 minute) presentation by a faculty member on his or her use of iPads in the classroom, followed by an informal – and lively – conversation. Come and share in the first iPad Circles session! Hear Dr. Williams as he shares his insights, experiences, as well as his successes and challenges, using iPads in the classroom teaching calculus. Light refreshments will be available.
