Jones Publishes Article on Pedagogical Implications of the Book, Thank You for Arguing
Posted 11/9/2012
Don Jones, associate professor of rhetoric and professional writing, A&S, has published an article entitled “A Textbook Argument: The Success of Thank You for Arguing and Its Pedagogical Implications.”
As the title suggests, Jones examines the pedagogical effectiveness of a best-selling book on argumentation in relation to several other textbooks. This analysis of rhetorical instruction and progressive teaching methods appears in the journal Pedagogy: Critical Approaches to Teaching Literature, Language, Composition, and Culture (12.3, Fall 2012).
