Communication Students Attend Dan Rather Lecture

Students from the School of Communication recently attended a lecture by veteran news anchor Dan Rather on the campus of Eastern Connecticut State University.

The trip was organized by journalism and media professors, Dr. Elizabeth Burt and Dr. Geoffrey Graybeal. Many of the students who attended envision careers as journalists or in other positions in the media, and were eager to hear what the former CBS news anchor had to say about the industry.

The Communication Students Special Opportunities Fund, made possible by the generosity of communication alumni and the faculty and staff of the School of Communication, provided the funding for the trip.
