Woody Doane, professor of sociology and associate dean for academic administration, Hillyer College, recently presented a paper, “When Race and Class Still Matter: Even More So!”, at the annual meeting of the Association for Humanist Sociology in Nashville, Tennessee, which was held from November 7-11.

In addition to his paper presentation, Doane served on two panels: “Author Meets Critics: White Bound: Nationalists, Antiracists, and the Shared Meanings of Race” (book by Matthew Hughey, Stanford University Press, 2012) and “Paying Homage to the Roots of Our Sociological Imaginations.”
