Hartt Piano Student Wins First Place in International Competition

Hartt School student Liana Paniyeva, a student of Phillip Kawin, has been chosen as a First Place winner in the American Protégé International Competition of Romantic Music 2012 in the Advanced Category, College Students and Professionals.
The competition attracted applicants from across the United States, Canada, Costa Rica, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, China, Singapore, Taiwan and Ukraine.
The Winners’ Recital will be held on Saturday, Nov. 24, at 3:30 p.m. in the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall.
