Fall Commencement to Take Place Sunday
Approximately 130 students will celebrate the completion of their degrees at the University’s 16th annual Fall Commencement ceremony on Sunday, Dec. 2, at 2:30 p.m. in Lincoln Theater.
University President Walter Harrison will preside over the ceremony, offer remarks, and confer approximately 70 bachelor’s degrees, 60 master’s degrees, and one associate’s degree to the graduates in front of their families and friends.
Those who are unable to attend in person can watch a live webcast of the ceremony at www.hartford.edu/view.
The Alumni Association will host a reception for graduates and guests in the Great Room of Konover Campus Center immediately following the ceremony.
The Fall Commencement ceremony was introduced in 1996 to provide a formal ceremony for undergraduate and graduate students who complete their degree requirements in September or January and cannot attend the University's traditional Commencement Weekend ceremonies in May.
Students participating in Fall Commencement must report to the Great Room of Konover Campus Center by 1 p.m. on Sunday. At Lincoln Theater, the doors will open at 1:30 p.m. for the seating of guests.
Graduating students who have grandparents, parents, siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts or uncles who have attended the University of Hartford are invited to wear Legacy Medals with their Commencement regalia. Students who have registered for Legacy Medals can pick them up on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. inside Konover Campus Center.
