United Way Campaign Ends Friday – $2,900 Needed to Meet Goal
The University of Hartford's United Way campaign runs until Friday, Nov. 30. To date, $22,105 has been raised toward the University's goal of $25,000.
The University is aiming for 100 percent participation by faculty and staff – donations of any amount are appreciated. Faculty and staff can make donations electronically or with paper pledge forms. If you are not sure how to donate, contact the United Way campaign volunteer for your department or call the President’s Office at ext. 4417 or 4418.
Everyone who participates in this year's United Way campaign will be entered into a drawing for prizes, including a $25 gift card to the Bookstore and gift certificates for lunch at the 1877 Club. In addition, anyone who makes a donation of $75 or more will be entered into a drawing for a Lenovo IdeaPad laptop computer and printer donated by the Purchasing Department.
And this year, there is an added incentive. Anyone who makes a donation, regardless of amount, will be entered into a drawing for the chance to throw a pie in the face of President Harrison and other senior administrators! The following senior administrators have offered to take a pie to the face:
President Walter Harrison
Provost Sharon Vasquez
Associate Provost Chuck Colarulli
Vice President John Carson
Vice President Lee Peters
Vice President Christine Pina
General Counsel and Secretary Tom Dorer
The pie-throwing will take place during the University holiday party on Dec. 20.
So be sure to make your donation, be part of the fun, and help make a difference in the Greater Hartford community.
