Sekou Publishes Article on Election Day Registration in Connecticut
Posted 12/4/2012
Bilal Dabir Sekou, associate professor of political science in Hillyer College, had an article published in the New England Journal of Political Science (Vol. VI, Number 2) titled "Ensuring Every Citizen Has the Opportunity to Vote: Adopting Election Day Registration in Connecticut."
Election Day registration is an issue that Sekou has championed for some time as chairman of the board of the Connecticut chapter of Common Cause. He discussed the issue with Connecticut Secretary of the State Denise Merrill when it was debated in the General Assembly last spring.
