Dan Isbell of Ithaca College to Give Guest Lecture at Hartt on Sunday

The Hartt School NAfME (National Association for Music Education) E-Board will present Dr. Dan Isbell, assistant professor of music education at Ithaca College, who will be giving a lecture on Sunday, Dec. 9, at 10:30 a.m. in room 120 at the Hartt School.

Isbell will be focusing on the development of vernacular musicianship and will touch on music education reform, outcomes of large ensembles, informal/formal music, and alternatives to traditional music pedagogy.

A light breakfast will be provided at 10 a.m.

Our guest requests that people bring their primary instruments and music on an iPod or laptop for us to play.
