STN Channel 2 and Phi Gamma Team up for Hurricane Sandy Relief Drive
STN Channel 2 and Phi Gamma sorority are teaming up for a Hurricane Sandy Relief Drive to benefit those in the New York and New Jersey area who were affected by the storm.
The relief drive will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 11, and Thursday, Dec. 13, from 12:05 to 2:05 p.m. in Suisman Lounge, Gengras Student Union.
The groups are collecting non-perishable food items, batteries, flashlights, and first aid supplies.
For each donation given, the donor will receive one ticket that will be entered into a drawing to win a $100 gift card to West Farms Mall. The drawing will take place on Friday, Dec. 14, and the drawing will be broadcast live on STN Channel 2 News at 5 p.m.
Donations collected will be personally driven by members of Phi Gamma to disaster zones where they will be donated.
