Is one of your goals to incorporate more exercise into your daily routine? Are you looking to try a new exercise? Yoga may be your answer!

Let the motivation of a yoga instructor help you work out and maintain and/or improve your healthy lifestyle! This yoga class will incorporate vinyasa flow to warm the body, increase heart rate, and develop synchronization of movement with breath. Power yoga techniques will be used to increase muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, coordination, and balance. Multiple posture variations will be offered to involve all participants, from beginners to seasoned yoga practitioners.

This program will be open to all faculty and staff free of charge. Human Resources Development is able to fund the program thanks to a generous grant from the Cigna Foundation. Elsie Mata, founder of EM Yoga Wellness, will lead the class. Let the power of yoga help you work out and maintain and/or improve your healthy lifestyle!

The class will meet in GSU 331/333 from 5:15 to 6 p.m. every Wednesday, from Feb. 20 through April 24. Please bring your own mat and towel to the class.

If you would like more information or are interested in participating in this program, please contact Kathe Snow, HR generalist and wellness advocate, at 860.768.4668 or ksnow@hartford.edu.
