Parents Association Discretionary Grants Program Now Accepting Proposals
The Voluntary Parents Fund’s Discretionary Grants Program is designed to improve the academic and co-curricular programs of the University of Hartford and to improve the quality of student life by providing funding for innovative programs and projects that will have a long-term impact on the University.
In order to be funded, departments must submit proposals that demonstrate the benefit to a substantial number of students derived by the award. Awards will be granted in the spring and must be spent between July 1, 2013, and June 30, 2014.
Previous grants have been used to purchase a community service van, signage for the University campus, furniture for the GSU Suisman Lounge, exterior lighting, TV studio upgrades, and computer/tv equipment for the Shaw Center lounge.
All proposals must be submitted to the Parents Association Allocations Committee by Feb. 22. For more information, download a detailed letter to faculty and staff, along with the proposal form.
