Faculty/Staff Basketball Matinee Special

The Department of Athletics is offering faculty and staff a special package for the noontime women's basketball game this Wednesday, Jan. 16, against UMBC. For $10, faculty and staff will receive one ticket to the game, a hot dog, drink, and popcorn. These special packages can be purchased at the gate on Wednesday.

This rare weekday afternoon basketball game has been scheduled to make available the opportunity for about 1,500 elementary and middle school students to attend as a class field trip. The game will feature a special curriculum created by the Connecticut General Assembly designed to reinforce principles pertaining to an individual's empathy, character, hope and opportunity (ECHO).

Come cheer on the Hawks!  Please note: Any deviation from a staff member’s regular work schedule must be approved by his or her supervisor and be accurately reflected in the staff member’s time reporting.
