David H. Goldenberg, dean of Hillyer College, has a chapter published in a new book, Research Methods for Studying Legal Issues in Education. The book is published by the Education Law Association.
Jacob Harney, associate professor of biology, College of Arts and Sciences, recently co-authored a paper titled "Progesterone’s Effects to Reduce Anxiety Behavior of Aged Mice do not Require Actions via Intracellular Progestin Receptors," published in the journal Psychopharmacology.
The research demonstrates the mechanism of action of the hormone progesterone in reducing anxiety, which is a critical step in the continuing effort to generate alternative therapies with minimal side effects.
Regina Miller, professor of early childhood education and chair, Department of Education and Human Service, has published an article in the March 2006 edition of Journal of Early Childhood Education and Family Review, a peer-reviewed journal that offers a venue for discussion of major issues and ideas in early childhood and family studies professions.
The title of the article is "The Next Best Thing to Being There; Furthering Teacher Development Through the Use of a Simulated Case Classroom."
