Neal J. Hannon, a lecturer in accounting and management information systems, Barney School of Business, was the co-author of the cover story in the February issue of Strategic Finance magazine, “Making Clean Deposits.” The article is about the FDIC’s recent conversion to an automated method of collecting data from the nation’s 8,000 banks. The article detailed the use of the eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) as a method to produce more accurate and timely submissions to the FDIC.
