Since August 2012, the University has been using CollegeNet’s 25Live® to schedule events and publicize them on the Campus Calendars.

Using 25Live® has enabled us to adopt a one-step process to schedule an event and request its publication on the calendar. How? When you are reserving a space for your event, simply let the scheduler know that you would like your event to appear on the Campus Calendar. You are required to provide a short description of your event and an event title.

Following review by the Office of Marketing and Communication, your event and its description will automatically appear on the Campus Calendars and on the calendar in UNotes.

There is no longer any need to submit an additional request to have your event placed on the Campus Calendars! If you do not wish your event to appear on the Campus Calendars, you only need to reserve a location for your event.

25Live® Can Help Find an Event Location

In addition to the scheduling and calendaring functions, the campus-wide use of 25live® makes it possible to find the location of any event scheduled, even those not appearing on the Campus Calendar. Anyone can find an event location through the “Find an Event” search feature. From the University's home page (www.hartford.edu), select  "More Events" or click directly on the words "Campus Calendar" to get to the full calendar. The "Find an Event" search feature will be on the right side of the page. This is a particularly helpful tool for visitors to campus.

Other Functions

Take the time to explore this new system to learn more about its functions. 25Live® users can download calendar events directly to a personal calendar, receive text reminders, forward events to friends and even receive notification of event changes.

If you have any questions about 25Live, please contact Jane Horvath, 25Live® project manager, at horvath@harford.edu or 860.768.4905.
