Financial Aid Application Deadline is May 1

Returning students seeking financial assistance for the 2013-2014 academic year are required to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by May 1, 2013. Please disregard the prior posted deadline of March 1 on the Academic Calendar.

In order to receive need-based financial assistance, students are required to file a new FAFSA each year. To receive your need-based financial assistance, your FAFSA results must be made available to the University. Those that file by May 1 will receive first consideration.

When filing, be sure to include the University of Hartford Federal School Code, which is 001422. When completing the FAFSA, be as accurate and complete as possible to ensure the most accurate aid eligibility.

Finally, your financial aid award notification will be sent to you via your University of Hartford email address. It is important that you regularly check your email account for notification, award status, and instructions on how to accept/decline your awards through the University's Self-Service Center.
