Hartt's Trio-in-Residence is on the Move
Lions Gate Trio
The Lions Gate Trio, The Hartt School's trio-in-residence, will perform in Europe in July. Their residency in Gaàs (France) is at the invitation of the Lichterfeld Foundation, and will include open-air amphitheater performances in the foothills of the Pyrenee Mountains.
The German series "Musik am Kronenberg" will feature the Lions Gate Trio in a program of Brahms, Beethoven and Ives. In addition to performances in Germany and France, Lions will give master classes at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln, at campuses in Cologne and Wuppertal.
Along with residencies at Hartt next year, the Lions will also perform and give master classes at Vanderbilt University. The Trio will return to perform in Europe in summer 2014, including in the Festival des Forêts in Compiègne, on Radio France, and in the Festival des Minimes in Brussels.
