CPD Senior Director Eileen Peltier to Leave the University
Eileen Peltier, senior director of the University's Center for Professional Development since March 2009, is leaving the University to become the Associate Dean of Workforce Development and Continuing Education at Asnuntuck Community College. Her last day with the University will be March 21.
The Center for Professional Development (CPD), one of two Hartford College for Women legacies created in 2005, is located on the University's Asylum Avenue Campus.
"Eileen stepped in in 2009 to replace the center's original director," said Vice President of University Relations John Carson, to whom the center reports. "She helped guide the center during a period of great economic turmoil, and focused its efforts on the programs that were most valuable and attractive to men and women in the central Connecticut region."
Carson announced that Dr. Eleta Jones, associate director of the center, will step in as Interim Senior Director beginning March 22. Jones was recently recognized for her 30 years of service to Hartford College for Women and the University of Hartford.
