The Newman Club is a group of students who are united by their common faith and desire to connect with others through prayer, retreats, community service and recreational activities. At the end of the fall semester, it was time again for the Newman Club to elect a new e-board. Over the last couple of months, the new members have learned the ropes of their positions. Now, they would like to introduce themselves to the campus community.

Katie Dydyn (President): Office Hours, Tues. 1-2 p.m.
Seasoned veteran Katie has been part of the Newman Club for three years. A junior psychology major, Katie keeps the Newman Club in her busy schedule because of the strong bonds made between club members and the campus priest, Father Dolan.

Theresa Menhart (Secretary): Office Hours, Fri. 2-3 p.m.
First-year art student Theresa finds that the Newman Club has kept her actively attending Catholic Church services on campus. Additionally, she finds that the Newman Club has helped her transition to college more smoothly.

Samantha Fucarino (VP of Events): Office Hours, Wed. 4:30-5:30 p.m.
Sam is a sophomore and in her second year as Newman Club’s VP of Events. Like many involved with campus ministry, she was drawn to the club due to its similarities with her high school youth group, which helped her adjust to life on campus. Her favorite part of being involved is the lasting friendships she has made with fellow members.

Marco Aguilera (VP of Social Justice): Office Hours, Mon. 9-10 a.m.
Marco is a junior and architecture student on campus. Upon attending his first Mass on campus, he stayed for dinner and his first Newman Club meeting. Marco has found it worthwhile to keep Newman Club in his schedule because of the time for personal and faith-based reflection it provides.

Nicole Coumes (VP of Public Relations): Office Hours, Wed. 11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m.
Nicole is a freshman art major on the new board. She finds Newman Club and Campus Ministry a positive force in her life and enjoys the community service opportunities the group has to offer.

Gabrielle Novak (Treasurer): Office Hours, Wed. 11 a.m.-12 p.m.
Freshman physical therapy major Gaby values the spiritual connection she makes with fellow members of the club. She also enjoys the opportunity it provides to meet new peers.
