Come and paint an umbrella with a message of peace and nonviolence on Thursday.

Matt Lamb's Umbrellas for Peace is a global art project spreading messages of peace and nonviolence.

Stop by GSU 331-333 on Thursday, April 4, between 7 and 9 p.m., and paint an umbrella with your own message of peace and nonviolence. All supplies (paint, brushes, and umbrellas) will be provided free of charge!

Download a flyer about Umbrellas for Peace.

Umbrellas for Peace is brought to campus annually by Women for Change. The umbrella is a symbol of shelter and protection. Some painted umbrellas will be hung in GSU, and the rest will be used in the University's annual "Take Back the Night March" on campus.

Take Back the Night will be held on Thursday, April 11, from 6 to 8 p.m., beginning in front of the Commons and ending in GSU.
