Project Unbreakable founder and photographer Grace Brown will give a presentation at the University of Hartford on Friday, April 5, at 7 p.m. in Mali 1 auditorium (Dana 201).

Project Unbreakable, started by Brown, is an art project aimed at healing those affected by rape and sexual assault. Photographs are taken of survivors with a quote from their attacker.

Brown's presentation will last about an hour, and it is free and open to all.

Women for Change, WELFund and Connections are partnering to bring Brown and Project Unbreakable to the University of Hartford campus.

Project Unbreakable is a way to spread awareness surrounding sexual assault, and it has also been seen as a healing project for sexual assault survivors. You can view Project Unbreakable at http://project-unbreakable.org/ or http://projectunbreakable.tumblr.com/. Content may be emotionally triggering for some viewers.

Since its creation in October 2011, Project Unbreakable has included over 1,500 photographs of survivors, from Brown's photography to personal submissions to other groups' recreations of Project Unbreakable. TIME magazine named the project one of the top 30 Tumblr blogs to follow.
