'Workout for Weaver' on Saturday
The Physical Therapy Student Association is holding a "Workout for Weaver" to help raise money for former UHart basketball player Amanda Weaver's fight against colon cancer.
The event will take place on Saturday, April 13, at the Sports Center.
Registration is from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Participants can take a Zumba class at 9:30 a.m., and/or kickboxing at 10:45 a.m.
Registration is $10, and anyone who attends also has the option to be "sponsored" by friends and family as a way to raise more money.
Weaver, a 2011 University graduate who was a four-year member of the women's basketball team, was diagnosed with colon cancer last June. Weaver is a graduate student in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program in ENHP.
