The Connections Health Education and Wellness Center will host its annual “Take Back the Night” event on Thursday, April 11, from 6 to 8 p.m., as part of its observance of Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
"Take Back the Night" will begin at 6 p.m. in front of the Commons. Students and other community members will silently march across campus to Susiman Lounge in Gengras Student Union. A victim of sexual assault will share her story of survival. There will then be an open mic period for anyone who wishes to share their own thoughts.
The University's "Take Back the Night" is just one of countless similar events across the country. For more information, visit takebackthenight.org.
