'ENHP Day' to Showcase Research, Scholarship, and Partnerships
The College of Education, Nursing and Health Professions (ENHP) will host the second annual ENHP Day on Friday, May 3, from 1-7 p.m. in Hillyer Hall.
The event will highlight ENHP faculty and student research and scholarship, scholarship across disciplines, and partnerships with the professional community. Research as well as scholarly posters will be on display throughout the day in the Shaw Center's Regents Commons.
The event will open at 1 p.m. with a keynote talk in Auerbach Auditorium by Sally Reis, vice provost for academic administration and professor of educational psychology at the University of Connecticut. Reis will speak on Talent Development and Strength-based Learning.
Reis will focus on her three decades of work in talent development, culminating in current efforts to challenge and engage high potential students of poverty in Hartford who attend the Renzulli Academy.
Closing the day at 6 p.m. in Auerbach Auditorium will be Irene Davis, director of the Spaulding National Running Center at Harvard University. Davis will address the topic Barefoot Running: Shifting Paradigms Regarding Footstrikes, Footwear and Treatment of the Foot.

ENHP alumni, clinical and adjunct faculty, former faculty, area educators and health professionals, and ENHP's community partners will find a variety of relevant discussions and presentations. All members of the University and Greater Hartford communities are invited to stop by for any part of the day's activities.
