Nine students from the School of Communication recently were inducted into the School's Alpha Beta chapter of Lambda Pi Eta (LPE), a national honor society for students majoring in communication.

The inductees were: Shannon DePaul, Daniel Geiger, Marissa McDougal, Demar Morgan, Jocelyn Rodriguez, Nicole Roland, Quoron Walker, Thomas White, and Natalie Yubas.

The ceremony took place on Friday, April 5, and was attended by current LPE members along with faculty and staff of the School of Communication and parents of inductees. Dr. Aimee Miller-Ott, faculty advisor to the organization, kicked off the event with a welcome and introductions of the LPE officers: Co-Presidents Eugenia Martinez and Kaitlin Schroyer, and Vice-President and Secretary Reyna Bouchaud. The ceremony included a candle lighting segment, induction of the new members, and the presentation of honor cords to graduating seniors.
