The continuing accreditation status of the radiology program in the College of Education, Nursing and Health Professions (ENHP) was considered at the April 12, 2013 meeting of the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). The program was evaluated according to the Standards for an Accredited Educational Program in Radiography.

The JRCERT awarded the program accreditation for a period of eight years, which is the maximum duration that may be awarded.

ENHP Dean Ralph O. Mueller congratulated Peter Kennedy, chair of the Department of Health Sciences and Nursing, and Assistant Professor Dan DeMaio, program director of radiology, saying, "Let me be among the first to wholeheartedly congratulate you on a flawless eight-year accreditation – the maximum timeframe for programs in Radiologic Technology. The college's faculty and I are very proud of you."

The JRCERT is the only agency recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDE) for the accreditation of traditional and distance delivery educational programs in radiography, radiation therapy, magnetic resonance, and medical dosimetry. Specialized accreditation awarded by the JRCERT offers institutions significant value by providing peer evaluation and by assuring the public of quality professional education in the radiologic sciences.
