Hartt Orchestras to Perform Final Concert of the Season

Hartt Philharmonia and Sinfonia will perform their final concert of the 2012-13 academic year on Saturday, May 4, at 7:30 p.m.

, under the direction of Maestro Edward Cumming, director of orchestral activities at The Hartt School. The concert will take place in Lincoln Theater.

University of Hartford students, faculty, and staff may obtain TWO free tickets per valid University of Hartford ID presented at the box office in Lincoln Theater. Admission for the general public is $20, with discounts for seniors, students, and groups of 10 or more. The program will include:
 Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel Overture; Barber’s Adagio for Strings; 
Brahms’ Academic Festival Overture; and 
Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 1. Conductors on this concert are Peter Lillpopp, Ena Shin, Kalena Bovell, and Edward Cumming.
