Abernathy Named Director of Admissions for Hartt

The Hartt School is pleased to announce the appointment of Megan Abernathy as Hartt’s new Director of Admissions.

Abernathy, who earned both a Bachelor of Arts in Performing Arts Management (Hartt) and a Master of Science in Organizational Psychology from the University of Hartford, will lead the Hartt Admissions team beginning July 17.

Most recently, Abernathy spent five years as Assistant Director of Admission and Student Financial Assistance for the University of Hartford, where she served as liaison to Hartt Admissions.

Associate Dean David Bell expressed the Hartt community’s enthusiasm for Abernathy's appointment, saying "We are excited to welcome Megan Abernathy back to The Hartt School. As an alumna, Megan brings both extensive knowledge of and great love for The Hartt School, and a deep understanding of the University admissions process and Hartt’s unique needs, to the position.”
