Professor of Painting and former Hartford Art School dean Power Boothe has been named one of the "50 Most Influential People of Litchfield County 2013" by Litchfield Magazine and the website townvibe.com.

"For over four decades, he has created eye-catching canvases," the magazine states in its description of Boothe. "His work is in public collections at the Met, the Guggenheim, the Whitney, MoMA, the Wadsworth Atheneum, and the British Museum in London. He is the former dean of Hartford Art School and helped create a studio facility for teaching art and technology."

Boothe is in good company—the list also includes such high-profile names as Oscar-winning actor Daniel Day-Lewis and his wife, writer Rebecca Miller; composer Stephen Sondheim; and Broadway actress Patti Lupone.
