The Faculty Center for Learning Development is holding a summer faculty institute for faculty interested in recording mini online lessons such as lecturettes, visual problem-solving, or personal introductions and reflections for online courses.

Designing and Recording Online Lessons” will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 20, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Woods Classroom in Mortensen Library. This hands-on faculty institute is designed for instructors exploring blended, hybrid, flipped, or fully online instruction. Participants will learn four separate recording applications: Echo 360’s Personal Capture (PCAP), PowerPoint, Camtasia screen capture, and the iPad app, Explain Everything. All sessions will be hands-on, and participants will actually develop several example lessons. Lunch, headsets, and loaner iPads will be provided.

Interested faculty should contact the Faculty Center for Learning Development at 860.768.4661 or e-mail fcld@hartford.edu to sign up. Space is limited to 12 participants.
