Men's Soccer Moves Up in Regional Poll

The University of Hartford men's soccer team has earned the eighth spot in the NSCAA/Continental Tire Northeast Men's Poll, as announced on Monday afternoon. The Hawks moved up one spot in the polls after checking in at the nine spot at the conclusion of the season's opening week. Since the poll's release, the Hawks defeated UMass, 1-0, on Wednesday night to remain undefeated (3-0-1).

For the second-straight week, UConn tops the regional rankings after defeating former America East member Boston University, 1-0, to remain undefeated at 2-0-0. With a record of 3-1-0, St. John's remained at second in the poll while America East member UMBC, which has posted a region-best four wins, moved up one spot and now sits at third. League member Vermont entered the rankings in week two after scoring back-to-back wins over UMass and Colgate to improve to 3-0-1 while Stony Brook, which was eighth last week, dropped out of the polls this week.

Tickets for Friday night's match against American are still available and can be purchased by calling the Malcom and Brenda Berman Athletics Ticket Office at 860.768.HAWK. Tickets will also be available at the box office located outside of Alumni Stadium prior to Friday night's game. Discounted $4 tickets are available to faculty, staff, seniors, youth, and alumni. Regular admission is $6. UHart students are admitted free with ID.
