Hartt Alumni on Broadway

Four Hartt School alumni will be appearing on Broadway this season—three of them in shows paying tribute to musical icons.

Hartt alumni Kevin Duda and Douglas Lyons have been cast in the Broadway company of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, which arrives on Nov. 21. Duda and Lyons also shared the Broadway stage in The Book of Mormon.

In addition, Hartt graduate Alison Cusano is part of the cast of Broadway's A Night with Janis Joplin (Joplinaire swing and Janis Joplin understudy). The show is scheduled to open on Oct. 10.

Another Hartt alumnus, John Brink, will be appearing in the Broadway production of Les Misérables. Brink just came off the national tour of Les Mis, where he played Enjolras and understudied (and often went on as) Jean Valjean.
