Susan Coleman, professor of finance, Barney School of Business, presented a paper titled "The Availability and Cost of Capital: Are Small Black-Owned Firms at a Disadvantage?" at the Annual Conference of the Academy of Entrepreneurial Finance in Los Angeles.
Andrew Craft, associate professor of chemistry, College of Arts and Sciences, is co-author of an article titled "Thermodynamics of Hydrogen Solution and Hydride Formation in Pd – Mn Alloys (Ordered Alloys)," published in the April 2006 volume of The Journal of Physical Chemistry - B.
Frederick B. (Rick) King, assistant professor of educational technology, ENHP, received the Award for Innovative Excellence in Teaching, Learning, and Technology at the 17th International Conference on College Teaching and Learning, held in Ponte Vedra, Fla., from April 10-14, 2006. During the conference, King also presented his paper “From F2F to Asynchrony: A Technology Toolbox” during a 45-minute session. The conference emphasis is on research and practice in teaching and learning — with focus on uses of innovative learning strategies and the Internet in face-to-face (F2F), blended, and online course development and teaching.
