Posted 6/8/2006
Tom Filburn, assistant professor of mechanical engineering, CETA, presented an invited lecture to the National Energy Technology Laboratory on May 31 on using solid amine sorbents for carbon dioxide capture from fossil fuel power plants.
The National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) is owned and operated by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), and is part of DOE’s national laboratory system.
NETL supports DOE’s mission of advancing the national, economic, and energy security of the United States. Filburn's presentation was made under NETL’s greenhouse gas capture program, which seeks to research technologies that can capture carbon dioxide from the flue gas of large fossil-fueled power plants.
