Posted 6/15/2006
The Department of Athletics invites the University community to the Richard L. Cote Retirement Roast on Saturday, June 24, beginning at 6 p.m. (dinner at 7 p.m.), at Gengras Student Union.
Cote will be retiring in August after almost 36 years at the University as an athletics administrator and coach.
If you would like to attend the roast, you must register by Friday, June 16, by contacting Associate Athletics Director Jim Keener at 860.768.5063 or jkeener@hartford.edu. The cost to attend the event is $50 for faculty and staff, and $75 for those outside the University. Portions of the net proceeds will be directed to the Henry Cote Scholarship Fund (in honor of Dick’s father) and towards a personal gift for Cote and his wife.
The Department of Athletics also is putting together a “memory book” with letters from Cote’s friends. If you would like to have a letter included in the memory book, please send it to Keener by Friday, June 16.
For complete information on the roast, download the attached flyer.
