Players from the University of Hartford men’s soccer team will conduct a skills clinic for children on Saturday, July 1, at Hartford’s Bushnell Park. The clinic will be part of the 2006 World Cup Festival of Hartford, sponsored by the World Affairs Council of Connecticut.

The Council has set up big screen televisions and tents at Bushnell’s Pump House Grill so that World Cup devotees can enjoy the games with their fellow fans from around the globe. Douglas Schwan of the World Affairs Council organized the festival as a way of bringing people together in Hartford in a positive way to help build a stronger community.

Games are shown at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. and the clinic is scheduled in between, from 1 to 3 p.m. Among the Hawks team members conducting the clinic will be captain Mark Cleverdon and his brother, Ryan Cleverdon.
