Susan Diehl, assistant professor in the Department of Nursing, presented at the Sigma Theta Tau International Research Congress in Montreal, Canada, on July 19. “How Nurses Learn About Collaboration” was the topic of her podium presentation, derived from findings from a case study of “Colleagues in Caring,” a national initiative aimed at developing the nursing workforce and educational capacity.
At the conference -- attended by some 1,500 nurses representing 42 countries -- Diehl was recognized as the new president of Iota Upsilon, Connecticut’s chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International. Sigma Theta Tau International is nursing’s honor society and premier research association.
