Diana J. LaRocco, assistant professor in the Department of Educational Leadership, ENHP, and her colleague, Deborah A. Bruns, assistant professor at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, recently had a paper published in the refereed journal, Education.
The article, titled “Practitioner to Professor: An Examination of Second Career Academics’ Entry into Academia,” presents findings from a qualitative study that examined the perceptions of former education professionals’ integration into academic responsibilities, connections to and experiences with their university community, and relationships with their colleagues.
