A Message From the New Men’s Basketball Coach
Posted 8/30/2006
The following is a letter to faculty and staff from Dan Leibovitz, who was named head men’s basketball coach in April.
Dear Members of the Faculty and Staff,
Good Morning!
I hope that all of you enjoyed a healthy and productive summer, and that you share my optimism for the upcoming school year.
My name is Dan Leibovitz, and I am the new men’s basketball coach. I came to the University of Hartford after ten years as an assistant coach at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. My assistant coaches, John Gallagher and Elliott Broadnax, were coaches at Layafette College in Easton, PA, and Chris Gerlufsen came from the Citadel in Charleston, SC. We are all very proud to be a part of the University of Hartford family and hope that our student-athletes will prove to be dedicated and proactive in their academic responsibilities in the ensuing months.
We look forward to meeting each and every one of you on campus and hope that we can count on your support at our basketball games this season.
Have a wonderful year and Go Hawks!
Sincerely,
Dan Leibovitz
