Accolades: Susan Coleman, David Desplaces

Susan Coleman, professor of finance, Barney School of Business, gave a talk on the economic outlook at a conference on The Connecticut Economy on Sept. 7.

The conference was hosted by the Connecticut Business and Industry Association, the Hartford Area Business Economists, and the University of Hartford, and took place in Rocky Hill, Conn. The entire program is being broadcast on Connecticut Public Television.


David E. Desplaces, assistant professor of management, Barney School of Business, presented three papers at the national meeting of the Academy of Management in Atlanta, Ga.

The first paper, “Business Faculty Perceptions and Actions Regarding Ethics Education,” was co-authored with Laura Beauvais of the University of Rhode Island, David Melchar, and Susan Bosco, both of Roger Williams University. The second paper, titled "Antecedents to Individual Readiness to Change," was co-authored with Laura Beauvais and Terri Albert, associate professor of marketing at the Barney School. The third paper, “A Practical Examination of Measuring Outcomes of Service-Learning Programs,” was co-authored with Robert Golden, MBA ‘05, Upper Albany Main Street, and Susan Coleman, professor of finance at the Barney School.
