Limited Spots Available for 'Tip-A-Hawk' Dinner
Posted 10/31/2006
A limited number of spaces are available for the second annual “Tip-A-Hawk” dinner to support women's basketball on Thursday, Nov. 2.
The event will take place at the Crowne Plaza in downtown Hartford, beginning with a cocktail reception at 6 p.m. The dinner program starts at 7 p.m.
The event is hosted by women's basketball Head Coach Jennifer Rizzotti. She will be joined by Master of Ceremonies Rebecca Lobo, currently an ESPN women's basketball analyst, whose playing experience spans all levels (UConn, WNBA, 1996 Olympic Team).
Members of the University of Hartford women’s basketball team will wait on tables, and the tips they earn will benefit the women's basketball program. Money raised from the first Tip-A-Hawk dinner in early 2005 enabled the Hawks to travel to Italy that summer.
A silent auction will be part of the evening's fare, highlighted by a golf foursome with Rizzotti at the highly acclaimed Ranch Golf Club in Southwick, Mass.
The cost of the dinner is $60 per person. If you are interested, please contact Laurie Fasciano today at 768.4653.
