Admission Seeks Students to Serve as Hosts
Posted 3/16/2005
The Office of Admission is looking for "overnight hosts" for 2005-06 to showcase the university to prospective students.
If you know of students who would be interested in the position and who would represent the university well, please let them know about this opportunity. The Office of Admission is looking for two hosts (one female and one male) who are involved in the campus community, have excellent time management skills, are sociable, have flexible schedules, and will be sophomores or juniors in good academic standing.
Students who serve as overnight hosts receive free room and board.
The overnight host’s job is to provide prospective students with the opportunity to experience a day as a University of Hartford student. The host takes prospective students to meals, to a class, and shows the students the best of what the campus has to offer. Being an overnight host is a full-year commitment; students must be willing to commit up to five days a week for seven months of the year.
Interested students should pick up an application at the Office of Admission and Student Financial Assistance, or contact Meaghan Rand, assistant director of Admission and SFA, at 768.4991 or mrand@hartford.edu. Applications will be accepted until Friday, April 1.
