Happy HowieDay Tree and Wreath Sale
Posted 11/29/2006
This Saturday, you can buy fresh holiday trees and wreaths, and support University of Hartford athletics at the same time!
The Hawks Athletics Board is holding a Happy HowieDay Tree and Wreath Sale on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Sports Center.
HowieDay trees are fresh-cut Canadian Fraser Firs and Balsams. Whether you choose a 6’-7’ Fraser (priced at $45) or a 7’-8’ Balsam (priced at $35), you can’t go wrong with a HowieDay tree. And, Howie and his elves will have wreaths too! These 20-inch, double-sided Balsam wreaths (priced at $15 each) are perfect for hanging inside or outside your home. Wreaths also make nice gifts for customers, employees, family or friends.
If you plan to attend the Hartford Hawks women’s basketball game (at 2 p.m. Saturday versus Brigham Young University), you can stop by and tag your tree and wreath before the game, and then pick them up afterward.
Can’t make it to the game? Come early then — the tree and wreath sale begins at 9 a.m. And a number of the University’s student-athletes will be on hand to help.
Quantities are limited. You can reserve your tree or wreath today by contacting Jim Keener, associate athletics director, at 768.5063 or jkeener@hartford.edu.
