Do you have questions about the University of Hartford's tuition abatement benefit? This quick guide may provide you with the answers you need:
  • Tuition abatement is a benefit provided to full-time and part-time employees at the University of Hartford. It also is available to the spouses and children of full-time employees. Part-time employees may receive this benefit for themselves only; it is not available to members of their families.

  • The tuition abatement benefit is available for credit courses offered at the University of Hartford, and covers only the cost of tuition.

  • Tuition abatement recipients are not eligible to receive any other university administered non-need or need-based scholarships or grants. A recipient of tuition abatement may file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine eligibility for a federal Pell Grant and/or federal Stafford Loan.
