Hartford’s Danielle Hood is a finalist for the first-ever America East Women's Basketball Fans’ Choice Player of the Year award, and your vote is needed to help her win!

Close to 2,000 fans took part in a preliminary round of voting, giving Hood a commanding lead. The top three vote-getters in the preliminary round qualified for the final round of voting, which began on Thursday and will continue through Sunday night (March 4).

Even if you voted for Hood in the preliminary round, you are encouraged to vote again in the final round, as the preliminary votes will be added to the final votes to determine the winner.

2. Katie Meinhardt, Boston University: 331 votes
3. Courtnay Pilypaitis, Vermont: 220 votes

The winner of the Fans’ Choice Player of the Year Award will be announced at the annual America East awards brunch on Thursday, March 8, at 10 a.m.
