Students who are applying for financial aid for the 2005-06 academic year or who have academic scholarships must advance register as full-time students (minimum of 12 credits) by May 11, 2005.

Need-based financial aid may not be available at a later date, due to the availability of funds. Academic scholarships and grants will not be applied to a student’s account until the student is registered as full-time. Students may add/drop classes to their schedules during the summer, but they must be registered as full-time to be awarded financial aid.

The Financial Aid Guidelines and Deadlines brochure, which was mailed to students and parents over winter break, provides additional information regarding the awarding of financial aid. Brochures are also available at the Financial Aid Office in Bates House.

Students who are taking summer classes at the University of Hartford and need financial assistance must complete a “Summer Affidavit” form in order to be reviewed for loan eligibility. The form is available at http://admission.hartford.edu/financial_aid or at the Financial Aid Office in Bates House.

Students who are planning to take courses at another school this summer must complete a “Permit for Transfer Credits” form, available at the Financial Aid Office.
