A paper by Anne Noonburg, Diego Benardete, and Ben Pollina of the Department of Mathematics, A&S, was given a featured review in a recent issue of Mathematical Reviews. This publication of the American Mathematical Society is the main reviewing venue for the profession.
The reviewer wrote that the paper “serves as an excellent teaching example for students in computational neuroscience, and also as a motivation for neuroscientists to examine more carefully the effects of stimulation frequency on neural population dynamics.”
The reviewed article, “A Periodically Forced Wilson-Cowan System,” appeared in the SIAM (Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics) Journal on Applied Mathematics, Volume 63, 2003.
