Rogers Named Assistant Dean at Barney

Annette Rogers, who has been a development officer for the university and director of admission for Hartford College for Women, has been named assistant dean at the Barney School of Business.
Barney Dean James Fairfield-Sonn announced the appointment in a recent letter to the school's faculty and staff.
Rogers joined the University of Hartford in 1999. In addition to her work as an admission director and development officer at the university, Rogers is an adjunct faculty member at the Barney School and the School of Communication. She earned a Master of Science in Organizational Behavior from the Barney School in 2002. Prior to joining the university, she had extensive experience in the business world, much of it in the health care field.
In 2000, Rogers received a University of Hartford Outstanding Employee Award, and that same year she was named to the Sigma Beta Delta National Honor Society in Business, Marketing and Administration. In 2002 she was inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma International Honor Society in Business.
Rogers has done extensive volunteer work facilitating or leading workshops and meetings for nonprofit groups. In 2002 she was a facilitator for “Listening to the City,” in which she joined 500 other volunteers in facilitating a conversation with 5,000 residents of New York City on plans for rebuilding the World Trade Center.
