Meiser-McKnett Honored

University of Hartford Director of Athletics Pat Meiser-McKnett is one of three recipients of the 2005 Women of Achievement in Sports Awards. The awards are given by Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in partnership with the Hartford FoxForce professional tennis team.

Saint Francis Hospital honors three women each year who have exhibited excellence in sports broadcasting, administration, and promotion. Meiser-McKnett, together with Dina Falco (sports director, WFSB-TV) and Beth Shluger (president and race director, Hartford Marathon Foundation), were honored during halftime of the FoxForce’s home match against the Springfield Lasers on Sunday, July 10.

Meiser-McKnett becomes the second University of Hartford representative to earn the award; Head Women’s Basketball Coach Jennifer Rizzotti was an honoree last year.
